We live permanently on the main island of São Miguel and the capital Ponta Delgada, where it is full of sights and opportunities for great experiences. The whole island is like a large well-kept botanical garden, and we are left with a sense of experiencing something unique, wild and beautiful.

Arrival to the capital of the island of São Miguel (Ponta Delgada), transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
Journey to the interior of the island. A stop at the viewpoint of one of the most beautiful lakes of the Azores, Lagoa do Fogo. Subsequent transfer to the hot springs of Caldeira Velha, where you will be able to swim in the thermal springs in the middle of the beautiful tree fern landscape. Followed by a crossing to the north coast, a stop at Santa Iria and a visit to the only European tea plantations and a tasting factory. Afternoon swimming in the Atlantic Ocean on the north coast at the famous Santa Barbara Beach near Ribeira Grande. Return to hotel, personal leave.
Today you will enjoy a half-day walking tour of the capital of Ponta Delgada: the historic center, the monumental gate of Portas da Cidade, the marina, the beautiful botanical garden of José do Canto, the renowned marketplace with the purchase of renowned Azores cheese, pineapple, fruit and vegetables.
Take a bus trip to the central part of the island. The first stop in the village of Furnas, close to a beautiful lake surrounded by rolling green countryside. A light walk through the romantic countryside around Lake Furnas – about 1 hour walk (3 km). Moving to a thermal location where a local Cozido specialty is cooked in a hot land (a mixture of several meats and vegetables prepared for hours in a hot country). Followed by a visit to the renowned Terra Nostra Botanical Garden, the most beautiful garden of the entire Azores. Possibility of swimming in the adjacent thermal pool with healing water. Return to hotel, personal leave.
Optional – 3 Hours trip – Whale Watching
The Azores is one of the best places to see cetaceans, on this tour you have the opportunity to see some of the more than 20 species of cetaceans that visit the Azores. Some species like the Sperm Whale and Bottlenose dolphins are resident, but you can see other animals like turtles and sea birds. It is an amazing experience to be able to see these animals in the nature
Move bus to pineapple plantations. Pineapples are grown here in a unique form (in a greenhouse) and are a renowned island specialty. Subsequently, we travel to the well-known vistas in the interior of the island and take a trip to the phenomenal Vista Vista to Rei, from which you can see the most famous island lakes created by the flood of volcanic craters – Sete Cidades. Refreshment stop in the adjacent town of the same name. Afterwards, take a further swim and rest in the nearby Mosteiros, famous for its seawater lava pools, which again promise interesting experiences. Return to hotel, personal leave.
A trip to the most interesting places of the forgotten eastern part of the island. Crossing north, stopping in Ribeira Grande. A short walk through the city with the possibility to visit the local liquor factory. Drive through the northern coast to Nordeste, where you will see a part of the island, which is usually hidden by tourists (lush vegetation, winding roads, highest mountains, fantastic views and forgotten villages). Stops on the most beautiful views on the way and then return along the south coast and visit the traditional pottery factory. Afternoon swimming on the popular local beach Pópulo.
